Rutherford B. Hayes was born in Delaware October 4, 1822 and died January 7, 1893 in Fremont. He was President for one term; March 4, 1877 – March 4, 1881.
Rutherford reconstructed and restored the trust of government. He was a successful businessman and lawyer during his lifetime.
He was opposed to slavery and he was part of the Republican Party. He volunteered his severs to Ohio when they
